The myth of "FDR v. Schacht"

< The myth of "Kepler v. Galileo" | OOPS! | The Myth of "Schachtian Austerity" >

We know exactly who contributed, how much, and through what channels. It is notable that the largest contributors — I.G. Farben, German General Electric (and its affiliated company Osram), and Thyssen — were affiliated with Wall Street financiers. These Wall Street financiers were at the heart of the financial elite and they were prominent in contemporary American politics. Gerard Swope of General Electric was author of Roosevelt's New Deal, Teagle was one of NRA's top administrators, Paul Warburg and his associates at American I.G. Farben were Roosevelt advisors. It is perhaps not an extraordinary coincidence that Roosevelt's New Deal — called a "fascist measure" by Herbert Hoover — should have so closely resembled Hitler's program for Germany, and that both Hitler and Roosevelt took power in the same month of the same year — March 1933. More at Roosevelt's New Deal and Hitler's New Order

Hjalmar Horace Greeley Schacht (left next to Roosevelt) was Hitler's Banker and another good friend of Roosevelt. Shown here with President Roosevelt in 1936.

As time went on it became more and more doubtful whether President Roosevelt's early assurance to the German leaders about the Jewish question would be kept. President Roosevelt bad told Germany's Reichsbank president, Hjalmar Schacht, on May 6, 1933, that he personally had no particular sympathy for the Jews, but a problem troubling German-American relations existed because of "the old Anglo-Saxon sense of chivalry toward the weak." Nevertheless, Roosevelt assured Schacht that "this hurdle would be cleared" without any lasting breach in German-American relations. Schacht met with New York Jews on May 12, 1933, and warned them that continued pressure from the outside could make matters worse for the German Jews. These matters are revealed in Documents on German Foreign Policy, Series C. vol. 1, nos. 214, 233.

Jewish propaganda against Germany made increasing headway during the months which followed, and on December 20, 1933, a conference at the German Foreign Office concluded with regret that the American press as a whole seemed to be "the strongest Jewish propaganda machine in the world" (Ibid., vol. 2, no. 139). Richard Sallet reported from the German Embassy in Washington, D. C. on August 3, 1934, that the sustained Jewish economic boycott of Germany continued to add fuel to the fire, and he noted, that Jewish propaganda was more strident than ever. The United States was seen to be positively flooded with anti-Gennan literature, and Sallet concluded that the ultimate objective of Jewry was a war of destruction against Germany (Ibid., vol. 3, no. 569). There was considerable relief in Germany in 1936 when President Roosevelt refused to accede to Jewish pressure to boycott the Olympic Games at Berlin. Hjalmar Schacht, 76 Jahre meines Lebens (76 Years of My Life, Bad Wφrighofen, 1953, p. 416), was confident then that the Jewish question, despite the ever increasing spate of Jewish propaganda, would do no lasting harm to Germany's relations abroad.

In the 1930's, in the United States, the Roosevelt administration introduced legislation for massive public works. The actual force that conceived and initiated these measures was John D. Rockefeller the First, John D. Rockefeller II and the cabal of capitalists and academic servants who worked with them. The works programs were fascist. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was modeled on Mussolini's, produced in Italy in the 1920's. The Works Progress Administration (WPA) paralleled the free labor corps of Hitler. Roosevelt's National Recovery Administration (NRA), his money currency plan, initiated the rapid raising of prices to produce immediate capitalist profit and printed massive amounts of loans to be paid off through the slave-labor public works of workers, the future taxation of the working class and the plunder of territories (the U.S. west and South America). This was the plan of Hitler's fascist finance minister Hjalmar Schacht in Germany 1933-35. The fascist-model public works recycling programs introduced on a model scale in the U.S. in the 1930's and the corporativist management-labor war boards for austerity instituted with dictatorial power in the United States in 1941-45, both developed and worked out by the Rockefellers, are the germs of the fascist plans the vicious Rockefellers are building for full implementation in the United States and throughout the world today. This time there will be no "prosperity" of the 1950's and 1960's to follow, only the death of hundreds of millions of humans.

FDR and Stalin:

Roosevelt had brushed off warnings of a potential domination by a Stalin dictatorship in part of Europe. He explained that "I just have a hunch that Stalin is not that kind of a man" and reasoned "I think that if I give him everything I possibly can and ask for nothing from him in return, noblesse oblige, he won't try to annex anything and will work with me for a world of democracy and peace."
