LaRouche And the Aryan RaceReferring to the work of Tilak, LaRouche considers the Aryan (Indo-European) civilization as superior to the "evil Harappan culture" : "Respecting the Vedic and classical Sanskrit literature itself, we have no doubt that the overthrow of the evil Harrapan culture was a happy accomplishment in net effect, but the Aryan invaders who accomplished this had undergone devastating cultural shocks prior to their arrival in the subcontinent. We know of two distinct such catastrophes. The first is emphasized by Tilak: the producers of the polar astronomical calendars had been driven by glaciation from their Arctic home. Then the Indo-European stock appears to have settled in central Asia during an extended period prior to the aridization of the region. This latter catastrophe had projected the Indo-European migrations into Europe and southern Asia during and after the third millenium B.C., gradually overwhelming and almost eradicating the remnants of an Atlas-culture dominating Western Europe, and becoming the Greeks, the Hittites, the Celts, and so forth.
Nonetheless the progress accomplished apart from the effects of such catastrophes is clear enough for our purposes." (1)
Tilak is even clearer: "But if the age of the oldest Vedic period was thus carried back to 4500 B.C., one was still tempted to ask whether we had, in that limit, reached the ultima Thule of the Aryan antiquity." (2)
and: "The vitality and superiority of the Aryan races, as disclosed by their conquest, by extermination or assimilation, of the non-Aryan races with whom they came in contact in their migrations in search of new lands from the North Pole to the Equator, if not to the farther south, is intelligible only on the assumption of a high degree of civilisation in their original Arctic home... For LaRouche, the "evil Harrapan culture" is the ancestor to the (semitic) "Whore of Babylon.": "The Harrapan pantheon was dominated by a mother-earth goddess, Shakti, and her phallus-symbol consort, Siva. This Shakti is the same goddess as the Chaldean Ishtar, identified by the New Testament as the "Whore of Babylon." She is the Egyptian Isis, the Saban Athtar, the philistine's Astarte-Venus [whence Phoenicia, Venice], the phrygian Cybele, and the Russian Matushka Rus. Siva is also the Egyptian Osiris, the semitic Satan, and the consort of Cybele, Dionysos. Similarly, the Egyptian Horus is the philistine "St. George" cult's figure-imported from the orient, by way of Venice and Genoa, into thirteenth-century England. Horus is also Lucifer, and Apollo." The "proof" of the superiority of the Vedic/Pre Vedic/Indo-European/Aryan civilization being: "The initially stunning feature of the ancient calendars is the inclusion of some very long astronomical cycles, including such cycles for the North geologic and magnetic Poles. Most stunning of all, the determination of the cycle for the movement of the magnetic North Pole could be accomplished by an ancient culture only were that culture a well-developed maritime culture.

LaRouche also considers this "evil" Harappan civilization being caused by "dark-skinned" Dravidians: "The primary sources show Sumer to be a settlement by a non-Semitic, "black-headed people," of the Dravidian language-group. The internal evidence corresponds to Herodotus' accounts of a Subcontinent-based (Shatki-Siva) maritime culture of the Dravidian language-group, which Herodotus associates with such locales as Yemen (Aththar), Ishtar (Mesopotamia), and Canaanite (Astarte). The Isis-Osiris cult is recognized as part of the same cultural set, as also the Phrygian Cybele-Dionysos, and Delphi Gaea-Python (Apollo) cult. The gross evidence is, that the Subcontinent-based branch of this Dravidian-language-group culture, associated with Harappa, went into decline during a period corresponding to some time during the Third Millennium B.C., a period corresponding to the growing influx of the Indo-European, Vedic culture, originating proximately from a relatively less arid period in Central Asia." These "evil" civilizations are now represented by "Semitic cultures": "The Semitic cultures of more recent times are by-products of the interaction between Egyptian culture and Dravidian-based influences such as those encountered in the Akkadians, Yemen, Ethiopia, and Canaan. Thus, whereas the original Hebrew, Mosaic faith is associated with Egypt, the Hebrew tradition following the first Babylonian captivity (accounting the Persian as the second Babylonian captivity) is mixed, syncretically, with the imposition of elements of the pagan mythologies of the Akkadians." Ironically this "war of the races" between Dravidians and Aryans was concocted by... the British rulers of India! Tilak, who was an Indian nationalist opposed to the British Raj and against Gandhi's non-violent strategy, defended the Aryans. He also supported (with theosophist Annie Besant) Germany against Britain during WW1 (the "Hindu German Conspiracy"). LaRouche's concept of the "Aryan race" is similar to post-war Pan-Aryanism when some neo-Nazis have expanded their concept of the Aryan race, moving from the Nazi concept that the purest Aryans were the Teutonics or Nordics of Northern Europe to the idea that the true Aryans are everyone descended from the Western or European branch of the Indo-European peoples. This concept is based on the 1947 book Imperium: The Philosophy of History and Politics by Francis Parker Yockey. (4) Moreover, LaRouche is not a "racialist". He has replaced the discredited notion of "blood" by that of "culture".
