             - WE STAND IN THE WAY OF GLOBAL HELL -

In an evening discussion with the NEC on Monday, Lyn reiterated,
even more forcefully, the point he made over the weekend in his
dialogues with the Los Angeles town hall meeting, and especially
in the discussion with the Wiesbaden office.

The entire global system is coming down and the world is
 facing global Hell--unless Lyn's four-powers initiative is
adopted now. The United States must align with Russia, China and
India to solve the collapse, through cooperation among leading
nation-states of this planet, or we all go down in the worst Dark
 Age in history.

We are running the only worthwhile conspiracy that exists.
Everything else is just a process of plunge into Hell. In this
context, the most important development of the day is our rapid,
immediate move to reorganize our intelligence/editorial functions
to transform our now-dead websites into dynamic sites that people
must turn to several times a day to find out what is going on in
the world of importance, and what they need to do about it. We
have got to pick up on the most critical stories, post them on
the LPAC site as our leading intervention, and update them two or
even three times over the course of a given day. We pick up a
story of importance, as it is breaking--perhaps via overnight
transmissions from Wiesbaden. We post it immediately as an
alert. We follow up on the story and publish timely updates.
Then, in the evening, we review the whole development and develop
some kind of more substantive evaluation. We do this every day,
with all of the most significant developments in the world. We
have the networks to do this. We have to end the decade of fog
that has gripped many of our colleagues.

Everything of significance relates to the pivotal issue of
the system now in the process of coming down, and to the
strategic change in our orientation to the U.S.A. cooperation
with Russia, China, and India to revive a concert of nations,
committed to bringing stability and prosperity back to a world
plunging otherwise into the pit of Hell.

Lyn has taken a hands-on approach to leading this change,
and there will be a further LYM team coming into Leesburg, on a
rotating basis, as in the warroom and the ``basement,'' to take
 charge of this effort.

April 2 (EIRNS)--THE FIRST ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF WILHELM WEBER'S
1846 TREATISE, "DETERMINATIONS OF ELECTRODYNAMIC MEASURE,
CONCERNING A UNIVERSAL LAW OF ELECTRICAL ACTION," HAS BEEN POSTED
ON THE 21ST CENTURY SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY WEBSITE. This is the
146-page report of Weber's collaboration with Carl Friedrich
Gauss to prove the Ampere angular force. The experimental
collaboration lasted from 1829 to 1839 at Goettingen, beginning
with the construction of the bifilar magnetometer, and continuing
with the construction of the electrodynamometer, and the
establishment of the Magnetic Union, and Earth magnetism studies.
Weber was forced out of his professorship at Goettingen
University in 1837, but continued collaboration with Gauss from
off campus. He resumed professorial work at Leipzig in 1843,
where he collaborated with Gustav Fechner, the founder of
epistemological psychology and student of the Zend Avesta who had
a great influence on Bernhard Riemann. Weber returned to
Goettingen in 1850 where he became the close friend and protector
 of Riemann.
The treatise, which now appears for the first time in
English, was published at the founding of the Royal Scientific
Society of Saxony on the day of the 200th anniversary celebration
of Leibniz's birthday, published by the Prince Jablonowski
Society, Leipzig 1846. The translation is the result of an
1996-1997 collaboration of Susan P. Johnson and Larry Hecht.
Prof. Andre Koch Torres de Assis of the University of Campinas in
Brazil recently completed the work of formating and inserting the
equations and reviewing the entire manuscript. 146 pages in pdf
 format. Posted March 2007. http://www.21stcenturysciencetech.com

LEVERAGED BUOUTS IN THE FIRST QUARTER ARE PROCEEDING AT A
RECORD PACE. In the first quarter alone, over $50 billion in
loans were issued for leveraged buy-outs (LBOs) -- on course to
far exceed the 2006 record. KKR is about to announce a $25.6
billion buyout of First Data (the world's biggest processor of
credit card payments), the second largest LBO thus far. Gushes
the Wall Street Journal: "This shows how flush private-equity
firms are in an environment of vast and accessible funding."

FINANCIAL DISINTEGRATION: EIR'S `LOUDOUN EFFECT' REPORT
CONFIRMED AS UPPER-INCOME MORTGAGE CDOs ARE HIT. An April 2
Reuters article, ``Mortgage Crisis Hits Million-Dollar Homes,''
collects a number of reports confirming {EIR}'s coverage of the
``Loudoun effect,'' and the accelerating spread of the mortgage
meltdown into the markets of CDOs (collateralized debt
 obligations), mortgage-based securities supposedly ``anchored''
 by high-priced, high-quality mortgages.
``Everyone's looking at subprime,'' PIMCO manager Mark
Keisel warns in the article; ``The rocks they aren't looking
under are the adjustable rate mortgages and teaser rates and low
money-down loans. It's going to affect prime as well.'' PIMCO is
 the world's largest bond-investment fund.
The foreclosure rate for homes ``valued'' at $750,000 and up
has reached a surprising 2.5% nationwide. All ten of the cities
with the most rapid increases in delinquency rates and
foreclosures rates in the country, are in the high-priced and
recently ``superhot'' home markets of Massachusetts and
California, with the eastern Michigan lakeshore towns and
Northern Virginia counties not far behind. The damage is hitting
``Alt-A jumbo loans'' of $400,000 or more. California is seeing
1,000 foreclosures a month of ``high-scale'' homes, according to
RealtyTrac. The Center for Responsible Lending now estimates that
the 2.2 million foreclosures it sees coming in 2007 will wipe out
$164 billion in homeowners' equity--an average of $80,000
invested equity in each foreclosed home, many of them second and
 third homes bought for speculation.
In Ohio, the state with the nation's highest foreclosure
rate at 3.4% in 2006, a new report shows that 73% of the loans
which have triggered delinquencies, were made in 2005-06 to
middle- and upper-income households, with incomes up to $140,000.
 High-income (above $65,000) households had 21% of the non-prime
loans; low-income (below $27,000) households had only 5%. The
report is by the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio.
The financial disintegration problem is, as {EIR}'s Lonnie
Wolfe showed in the March 23 issue, that CDO securities package
together, what are supposed to be debt instruments of different
qualities, with the ``golden debt'' of high-income, high-priced
mortgages anchoring the subprimes, etc. Lehman Brothers estimated
on March 30 that mortgage CDOs had lost $20 billion in March
 alone.
The awaited bankruptcy of the largest U.S. ``independent''
subprime mortgage lender, New Century Financial of Irvine,
California, was announced on April 2, and will immediately throw
3,200 of New Century's employees out of their jobs. It is very
likely that the company will soon pass into a liquidation
process, and nearly all of its 6,000 workers will be unemployed.
But for now, New Century has received a slim $150 million in
debtor-in-possession financing, by pledging some of its mortgage
loans--those which still retain collateral not yet seized by
banks or securities firms--to RBS Greenwich Capital. Sounding
like Connecticut and having a Greenwich office, RBSGC is a
division of the Royal Bank of Scotland, and its registration is
 in Bermuda. [pbg]

 Reform of February 13, 2007 to Novartis;
 doctorswithoutborders.org: PEOPLE BEFORE PATENTS]
WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION AND DRUG GIANT NOVARTIS WORK
TOGETHER TO KILL MILLIONS. Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis is
suing the Indian government to restrict generic drug production
in India. Over half of the medicines used for AIDS patients in
developing countries come from India. Some 80% of AIDS drugs used
in MSF (Doctors Without Borders) projects come from India.
India designed a patent law that aims to protect public
health by stating that patents should only be granted for
medicines that are truly innovative. This was specifically
targeted at preventing a common practice of drug companies of
trying to get patents on insignificant improvements of existing
drugs, in order to extend their monopolies on drugs as long as
 possible.
New WTO rules require that India begin to grant patents on
drugs across the board. Based on the WTO rule, Novartis is suing
India to restrict generic production, which would restrict access
to affordable medicine to millions of people worldwide. Novartis
was one of the 39 companies that took the South African
government to court five years ago over generic drug production.
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), as chair of the Committee on
Oversight and Government Reform, wrote to Novartis Chairman and
CEO Daniel Vasella, MD: "It has come to my attention that major
international health organizations are deeply concerned about a
position Novartis has taken in litigation in India. According to
these organizations, when a Novartis patent application was
denied, instead of simply appealing the rejection, Novartis
challenged the public health safeguards in India's patent law. I
do not dispute your right to apply for a patent or appeal a
denial. I am concerned, however, that your attempt to influence
domestic Indian law could have a severe impact on worldwide
 access to medicines." [jd_]

April 1--SWISS NATIONAL TELEVISION MOCKED AL GORE. In an
April Fools piece, Cash-TV, a prominent financial market special
on Switzerland's national TV, "reported" yesterday on turbulence
on the world's carbon markets, saying that in order to straighten
things out, a number of "new investment products" would be
launched now, like CO2 bonds, certificates and the like, and that
Al Gore was central to this initiative. There is a lot of truth
in this "joke," as everyone familiar with Gore's hedge fund
 activities knows. (rap)

MUNICH-BASED SCIENTIST DENOUNCES BIO-FUELS AS "CLIMATE
KILERS." Florian Siegert, of the Geo-Bio-Institute in Munich,
attacked the use of palm oil as a crucial component of bio-fuels,
because it is destructive to the world climate: The massive
expansion of palm groves is occurring at the expense of rain
forests. As rain forests are burned out to clear large tracts of
land to plant palm trees, the burning release enormous CO2
emissions, thereby invalidating all expectations that palm
oil-based bio-fuels would reduce net emissions, Siegert charged,
 calling bio-fuels "climate killers." (rap)

BILDZEITUNG AND OTHER MEDIA ATTACKS ON IPCC/GORE HIT A RAW
NERVE IN THE GERMAN ENVIRONMENT MINISTRY. Michael Mueller,
assistant environment minister of Germany, a longtime greenie
among Social Democrats (also known as "MiMue"), apparently became
very destabilized by the Reinische Post article against Gore
published March 28 in Duesseldorf--—-Mueller's election district.
At the end of last week, Mueller attacked the Bildzeitung
and other media for their coverage, saying that the media's
presenting "alleged scientific and abstruse arguments against the
climate catastrophe," was "irresponsible," because the CO2
catastrophe was "one of the biggest challenges to mankind and to
this planet." Critics of the IPCC should not be taken seriously,
 Mueller demanded. (rap)

RACIST ANTI-DEVELOPMENT SUIT ADVANCES, JUDGE CITES AL GORE
IN RULING. The suit, originally brought by Greenpeace and Friends
of the Earth in 2002 (and since joined by the cities of Boulder,
Colorado, and Oakland, Santa Monica, and Arcata in California),
is essentially alleging that the National Environmental
Protection Act (NEPA) must now be applied to all foreign
development projects, requiring the filing and approval of an
environmental impact statement before construction begins,
something that would slow large infrastructure projects to a
halt. The NEPA studies would be required, not to assess impact of
the projects on the local region, but in the argument of the
environmentalists, that these projects contribute to global
warming, and will have impact from half-way around the world, on
 the U.S. itself.
The defendants are two organizations at the center of U.S.
overseas development efforts, the Export Import Bank and the
Overseas Private Investment Corp., which provides risk insurance
to U.S. corporations which undertake foreign projects. Mentioned
specifically are an oil pipeline in Africa, between Chad and
Camaroon, oil and natural gas projects in Russia, Mexico,
Venezuela and Indonesia, and "a coal-fired power plant in China,"
which together received a total of $32 billion in financial
assistance from these federal agencies. Since the lawsuit was
first brought five years ago, several of the projects have
 actually been completed.
On March 30, however, U.S. District Court Judge Jeffery
White, of the 9th District in San Francisco, ruled that the suit
has merit, and cited Al Gore's movie in his ruling, saying that
something which negatively affects the environment anywhere in
the world, will eventually have negative effects on the United
States. This is in the spirit of actions in Nazi, Germany, which
early on required that all major construction projects be
 processed through Goering's Reichsnatureschutzgesetz (Forrestry
Office), which also held the rights of stripping the assets of
corporations for the betterment of nature. [mpb/pm_]

 [source: U.S. Supreme Court, {Massachusetts v. EPA}, April 2]
SUPREME COURT ENDORSES GLOBAL WARMING HOAX. In what the news
media are calling one of the most important environmental cases
in decades, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled today that the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency must consider the "scientific
evidence" that carbon dioxide is a "greenhouse gas" which causes
global warming. The EPA had argued--half-heartedly--that the
causal link between anthropogenic greenhouse gases and global
warming, has not been "unequivocally established," but it did not
dispute the existence of such a causal connection. It also
presented a hodge-podge of legalistic arguments that it lacked
the power to regulate emissions, etc., based on the Bush
 Administration's policy-bias against economic regulation.
The five-justice majority cited the Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change (IPCC), as well as the 1992 Rio "Earth Summit,"
the Kyoto Protocol, and various other fraudulent studies to
conclude that greenhouse gases are a pollutant which contribute
 to potentially-catastrophic global warming.
The only way the EPA could justify not regulating new
automobile emissions (the technical subject of the case), the
court said, would be if it were to state unequivocally that
greenhouse gasses do not contribute to climate change --
something the re-invented "greener than thou" Bush Administration
 is unlikely to do.
Dissenting was the court's right-wing bloc of Roberts,
Alito, Scalia, and Thomas. They do not challenge the fundamental
axioms of the environmentalists, and they concede at the outset
that, "Global warming may be a `crisis,' even `the most pressing
environmental problem of our time,'" but they offer only legalist
disputes over the reach of regulatory law, and--particularly in
the case of Scalia--nominalist word-parsing over the technical
meaning of various statutes. None of them has the guts, or the
inclination, to take on the great global warming hoax itself.

APRIL FOOLS: GORE CHASTISES COLLEGE NEWSPAPER FOR CUTTING
TREES. The GW Hatchet, an off-campus paper in the George
Washington University ambit, for its April 1 edition spoofed Al
Gore addressing a college newspaper which he called the "The
Tornado Treekiller." Said "Al": "`Your paper just sits on the
shelves... nobody picks it up, not even to feed it to the
recycling bin,' "who tried to force a tear out, but couldn't find
that human emotion," comments the author. As he paced around the
office, he pulled out his Academy Award, and "proceeded to polish

THE QUEEN GOES GREEN. Queen Elizabeth II intends to emulate
her son Prince Charles, by appointing environmental consultants
to turn the royal palaces into models of environmental
efficiency, sources told the {Sunday Times}. Charles is expected
to announce in July that his household at Clarence House is
 "carbon neutral."
For the Queen, this will involving changing some of the
40,000 incandescent light bulbs at Buckingham Palace; they have
already converted two Bentleys (guess where they hid the other
one), and two Rolls Royces into hybrid vehicles. But, alas, the
biggest problem will be cutting back on air travel. As compared
to the U.K. national average of 10 tons of carbon per person, the
Queen's household spews out 3,751 tons a year. It's enough to
 make Al Gore envious. [ews]

April 2--SENATE MAJORITY LEADER HARRY REID ANNOUNCED TODAY
THAT HE AND SEN. RUSS FEINGOLD WILL INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TO CUT
OFF FUNDING FOR THE WAR IN IRAQ WITHIN ONE YEAR. Reid's
announcement comes after President Bush has pledged to veto the
supplemental appropriations bill passed by the Senate, which
includes a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops. The new
bill, to be introduced in the next work period of Congress,
according to Reid, will include the requirement in the
appropriations bill that the redeployment of U.S. troops in Iraq
begin within 120 days of enactment, but also "ends funding for
the war, with three narrow exceptions, effective March 31, 2008."
"If the President vetoes the supplemental appropriations
bill and continues to resist changing course in Iraq," said Sen.
Reid, "I will work to ensure this legislation receives a vote in
the Senate in the next work period." Senator Feingold reported
that Senator Reid would work to have a vote on the bill by the
 end of May.
The three limited exceptions allow for U.S. troops to:
conduct targeted operations, limited in duration and scope,
 against al Qaeda and other international terrorist organizations;
provide security for U.S. infrastructure and personnel; train and
 equip Iraqi security forces. [mob]

TOP BUSH CAMPAIGN MANAGER SPLITS. Matthew Dowd, who was
Bush's chief campaign strategist in 2004, gave an interview to
the New York Times attacking Bush and calling for a U.S.
withdrawal from Iraq. The Times, calling Dowd the first member of
Bush's inner circle to break so publicly with him, quotes Dowd as
saying that that he's disappointed in Bush, and accuses Bush of a
"my way or the highway" mentality, reinforced by a shrinking
circle of trusted aides, and says that Bush has become isolated,
 "secluded and bubbled in."
Dowd, who was a key operative in the attacks on John Kerry
during the 2004 campaign, recently wrote an unsubmitted op-ed
entitled "Kerry Was Right," saying that Kerry was correct last
year in calling for withdrawal from Iraq. Dowd says he was
dumbfounded when Bush didn't fire Rumsfeld after Abu Ghraib; and
then events during 2005 led to further doubts: particularly
Bush's handling of Katrina, his refusal to meet with Cindy
Sheehan while at the same time he was meeting with cyclist Lance
Armstrong, and his re-nomination of John Bolton. Dowd then worked
 for Arnie Schwarzenegger's 2006 re-election campaign.
White House counselor Dan Bartlett, on CBS yesterday,
attributed Dowd's defection to "personal turmoil" in his private
life, and to an emotional response to Iraq, since his son is
about to be deployed there. [ews]

ONE-TIME LYNNE CHENEY CONFIDANT LAUNCHES BROADSIDE AGAINST

office with Lynne Cheney, who co-authored George H.W. Bush's
autobiography, and whom Lynne Cheney asked to write the profile
of her and Dick for the 2001 inauguration program, has now
written a new book blasting the destruction of the Republican
Party at the hands of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. It is
entitled "Invasion of the Party Snatchers: How the Holy Rollers
and the Neo-Cons Destroyed the GOP."
"For all the Rove-built facade of his being a 'strong' chief
executive, George W. Bush has been, by comparison to even hapless
Jimmy Carter, the weakest, most out of touch President in modern
times," Gold writes. "Think Dan Quayle in cowboy boots." As for
Cheney, he writes: "A vice president in control is bad enough.
Worse yet is a vice president out of control."
Gold says that Cheney brings to mind the adage of Swiss
writer Madame de Stael that, "Men do not change, they unmask
themselves." Gold suggests that Cheney has a deep streak of
paranoia and megalomania, which, Gold admits, he did not see at
first. "He was hiding who he really was," Gold says. "He was
 waiting for an opportunity." [ews]

 	April 2 (EIRNS)--WAS GUANTANAMO PLEA-BARGAIN A CHENEY DEAL
WITH AUSTRALIA'S ENDANGERED JOHN HOWARD? Many observers,
particularly those in Australia, believe that the David Hicks
plea-bargain, that resulted in only a nine-month prison sentence,
combined with a gag order that prevents Hick from discussing
torture and the conditions of his confinement, was part of a deal
worked out in February between Dick Cheney and Australian Prime
Minister John Howard. Howard is one of a handful of remaining
allies of the Bush Administration; he and his party are in deep
trouble going into upcoming elections, with the issue of Hicks
and Guantanamo being a major factor in their decline.
Under the plea agreement, which was worked out behind the
backs of the military prosecutors trying the case, Hicks pled
guilty to a lesser charge of providing material support to a
terrorist organization; he is barred from talking to the press
for a year, and he was compelled to state that he was never
"illegally treated" while in U.S. custody -- which contradicts
his earlier sworn affidavit in which Hicks declared he had been
repeatedly beaten, sodomized, and forced into painful positions
 during interrogations.
Hicks' lawyer bypassed prosecutors, and worked out the deal
with Susan Crawford, the "convening authority" who is in charge
of the military commission trials. Crawford is a long-time GOP
appointee, who was DOD Inspector General when Dick Cheney was
Secretary of Defense--which adds to the suspicions of a dirty
 deal. [ews]

THE OFFICE OF THE U.S. TRADE REPRESENTATIVE RAMMED THROUGH A
FREE TRADE AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH KOREA APRIL 1, the largest the
United States has signed since the North American Free Trade
 Agreement of 1992.
The deal which needs to be ratified by U.S. and South Korean
legislatures, is widely unpopular in South Korea. One protester
set fire to himself close to the Seoul hotel where the talks have
been taking place, and opposition politicians have gone on hunger
 strikes in protest.
The agreement was the only one of the several free trade
agreements the Bush Administration could get signed before the
(possibly malleable) deadline of 90 days before Fast Track
expires. Fast Track allows the administration to present trade
agreements to Congress for only an up-or-down vote. [nbs]

ARGENTINE PRESIDENT KIRCHNER HAS RENATIONALIZED THE TANDANOR
NAVAL SHIPYARDS IN BUENOS AIRES, which former IMF President
Carlos Menem had privatized in 1991, in what Defense Minister
Nilda Garre called a "disgraceful" operation that had "gravely
 damaged" Argentina's national interests.
Kirchner signed a decree March 31 ordering the "immediate
repossession" of the shipyards. Those who were involved in the
1991 privatization have been charged and prosecuted for the
numerous irregularities in the operation, starting with the fact
that the original selling price of $168 million was reduced to
$60 million, and the buyer only made one payment of $7 million!
The Kirchner government sees the renationalization of Tandanor as
key to the state's efforts to rebuild the defense sector's
technological capabilities, which had been gutted under Menem.

THE GREENING OF THE INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK. The
current President of the IDB, former Colombian ambassador to
Washington Luis Moreno, is at the same time co-chairman of the
Interamerican Ethanol Commision (IEC) together with former
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Brazilian agribusiness tycoon Roberto
Rodrigues, head of the Superior Council of Agribusiness and
former Minister of Agriculture. They were the speakers at the
conference on "Towards a Hemispheric Biofuels Market: The Outlook
for Private Investment," along with former Kissinger Associates'
official David Rothkopf. So, now the priority of the IDB's
activities are indistinguishable from the IEC, whose aim is to
use ethanol to revive the defunct Free Trade Agreement of the
 Americas (FTAA).
At the April 2 conference, held in Washington, Rothkopf
made a presentation of the "study" prepared by him for the IDB,
"A Blueprint for Green Energy in the Americas," which he define
as a call to make the Caribbean "the Gulf of Ethanol," to counter
the Persian Gulf, and reduce dependency on Mideast oil. They
promote all kinds of projects, on all scales according to the
country's geography, from Brazil to Haiti, to make biofuels from
anything: cane, sorghum, any oil seed, and are concerned not to
depend only on corn. The only condition is free-market and no
 controls on investments.
At the end, attendees received 60 copies of EIR and Resumen
Ejecutivo on Gore and the ethanol hoax. (drr)

briefing by H.E. President Robert Mugabe on the current
 developments in Zimbabwe.
"The Extra-Ordinary Summit recalled that free, fair, and
democratic Presidential elections were held in 2002 in Zimbabwe.
"The Extra-Ordinary Summit reaffirmed its solidarity with
the Government and people of Zimbabwe.
"The Extra-Ordinary Summit mandated H.E. President Thabo
Mbeki to continue to facilitate dialogue between the opposition
and the Government and report back to the Troika on the progress.
The Extra-Ordinary Summit also encouraged enhanced diplomatic
contacts which will assist with the resolution of the situation
 in Zimbabwe.
"The Extra-Ordinary Summit mandated the SADC Executive
Secretary to undertake a study on the economic situation in
Zimbabwe and propose measures on how SADC can assist Zimbabwe
 [to] recover economically.
"The Extra-Ordinary summit reiterated the appeal to Britain
to honor its compensation obligation with regard to land reform
made at the Lancaster House Conference.
"The Extra-Ordinary Summit appealed for lifting of all forms

IRAN AND BRITAIN ARE IN DIRECT TALKS TO SOLVE THE CRISIS
REGARDING THE 15 DETAINED SAILORS. Small steps have been taken by
both sides, indicating a willingness to settle the matter.
Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett had stated that she thought
"everyone regretted" the situation, which was a first signal that
Britain might acknowledge having trespassed Iranian waters. The
Sunday Telegraph for April 1 then mooted that a deal might be in
the making, whereby the British could promise Iran they would
never "knowingly" violate Iran's borders--this would be a
face-saving formula for both sides, in that it would indirectly
acknowledge that Britain had trespassed, but at the same time
would imply that it was involuntarily, by mistake. This is what
 the Iranians want said.
A day later, it was announced that direct talks had begun,
and reports said that Britain had agreed to discuss with Iran how
to avoid future disputes. For its part, Iran said all 15 sailors
had admitted to the trespass, and at the same time announced it
would not air any further confessions on TV--because of "positive
changes" in the British stance. This was reported also by Russian
wires, whose coverage has been very low key in the entire affair.
Meanwhile, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander in
Abadan, in Khuzestan province, said that U.S. planes had violated
Iranian air space, near the border with Iraq. The U.S. denied the
 report. (mlm)

SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE NANCY PELOSI VISITED ISRAEL ON APRIL 1
AND TOLD HER ISRAELI INTERLOCUTORS THAT ISRAEL MUST SPEAK WITH
SYRIA, and that the door should not be closed to Damascus, even
though she is aware that Syria supports terrorism and continued
cooperation with Iran. The Democratic congresswoman was critical
of the Republican administration's policy of boycotting Damascus.
Her statements hinted that if the Democrats regained control of
the White House in 2008, they will work toward renewing dialogue
 with Syria.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Tom
Lantos (Calif.), who accompanied Pelosi, said Assad should be
given a final opportunity to disengage from the "axis of evil."
According to Lantos, in a few years, Sunni Muslims, and not Iran
under Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, will be in control in the region, and
it is to the advantage of Damascus to know which side to be on.

PELOSI TO DELIVER MESSAGE FROM OLMERT ON WAR FEARS.
According to information Israel received, the Syrians are
concerned that the United States will carry out an attack against
Iran's nuclear installations in the summer, and in parallel
Israel would strike Syria and Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert, who visited IDF forces in the north last week, heard
an intelligence assessment and was informed of the dangers of a
Syrian "miscalculation." Following this, a decision was made to
publicly address the concerns of a possible deterioration with
the Syrians, and to send a message that Israel has no intention
of attacking Syria, nor is there any coordinated plan with the
U.S. for a joint attack against Iran.
U.S. Speaker of the U.S. of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is
scheduled to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus
on April 2 and will deliver a message of calm from Israel.
In an interview over the weekend in Ha'aretz, Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert also commented on these assessments of a possible
 "war in the summer."
Olmert said: "The Syrians, according to their statements and
those of others recently, appear to be saying that there is an
American plan to attack Iran in the summer, and at the same time,
and in coordination with Israel, to also attack Syria and
Lebanon. I can tell you that there is no such plan that we know
about, and in any case, there is no reason for the Syrians to
prepare for such an eventuality. There is always concern that
when one side prepares for war, and the other side is preparing
to counter the other side's preparations, then the first side
interprets the preparations of the other side as if it is the
manifestation of its fears, and the situation goes into a spin,
and control is lost. We have no intention to attack the Syrians,
we prefer to make peace with the Syrians, but it is a fact that
the army is carrying out very intensive training in all systems,
all branches, all units, in all areas, and it will continue doing
so as part of its annual plans, and it will be ready for any
eventuality -- including the possibility of what is called
miscalculation.... But we take into account everything, and hope
that the things that should not happen, do not happen."
Again on April 1, Olmert refuted reports of a coordinated
offensive in which the U.S. would attack Iran, and Israel would
hit Syria and Lebanon at the same time.
And during a press conference with German Chancellor Angela
Merkel, Olmert dismissed the idea of a summer offensive, calling
it "a plan we don't know of. It is baseless, and an unfounded
rumor with no foundation. I hope no one will operate on the basis
of unfounded rumor to create a move that would have no reason to
drag us into a conflict." [dea]

ISRAELI MILITARY INTELLIGENCE CHIEF GENERAL AMOS YADLIN
WARNED THAT SYRIA AND IRAN ARE PREPARING FOR AN ATTACK BY U.S.
AND ISRAEL this summer. He said that the preparations were
defensive, adding that Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah were not
expected to initiate the war. "What we are seeing is their
preparation for the possibility of war in the summer. My
assessment is that they are defensive preparations for war. We
are closely monitoring these preparations because Iran, Syria and
Hezbollah could misinterpret various moves in the region," Yadlin
said. He noted that, as in the case of the June 1967 Arab-Israeli
War, military conflict could erupt despite that fact that neither
side is interested in war, because of "the involvement of many
 players." [dea]

April 2 -- THE 14TH SOUTH ASIAN ASSOCIATION FOR REGIONAL
COOPERATION (SAARC) SUMMIT WILL OPEN IN NEW DELHI April 3, with
the governments of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal,
Bhutan and the Maldives, with Afghanistan for the first time
there as a member of SAARC. In addition, the U.S., China, Japan,
South Korea and the European Union, will be participating as
observers for the first time in the 22 years of SAARC's history.
Iran is also getting observer status at the summit, which will
 last two days.
Key issues are the potential for economic integration and
implementation of the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA). In
2002, at the Kathmandu SAARC summit, the organization called for
"a phased and planned process eventually leading to a South Asian
Economic Union." There is, however, a long way to go, IANS
reported today. According to World Bank data, South Asian
intra-regional trade is less than 2% of GDP, compared to more
than 20% for East Asia. Trading across borders is very expensive
 in the region.
Terrorism and the potential for increasing rail, road and
air links, will also be on the agenda. (mmc)

April 2 -- THE SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION (SCO) HAS
COMPLETED ITS "ORGANIZATION FORMATION," SCO Secretary-General
Bulat Nurgaliyev told Itar-Tass in Beijing today. The SCO has two
permanent bodies ,-- the Secretariat in Beijing and the Regional
Anti-Terrorist Structure Executive Committee (RATS) in Tashkent,
which just met on March 29. Nurgaliyev said that the SCO -- made
up of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan -- "has expanded its activities and entered new
dimensions of late." This includes interparliamentary cooperation
and a Business Council and Interbank Association. "At present, we
understand that its organizational formation has been completed.
If to speak about additional transformations, they won't take
place in the near future at any rate. Of course, life is always
making headway and the SCO will, probably, need to be adjusted to
new regional realities and possible changes of the situation," he
 said.
"High on the agenda is the creation of the SCO Youth Forum.
Of course, this requires certain changes in work approaches.
Expanded activities result in deeper contacts and regular trips….
"Initially the SCO was created as a structure that can
effectively ensure security. Now it focuses more and more on the
coordination and strengthening of regional integration. It is
evident that progress in resolving social and economic problems
which all the countries face will be a pledge of security and
stability in the region," Nurgaliyev said. (mmc)

CHINA IS DEVELOPING A NUCLEAR-POWERED ROVER FOR ITS UNMANNED
MOON MISSION IN 2012. Scientists at the Shanghai Aerospace System
Engineering Institute have been working to develop a
nuclear-powered lunar rover for China's first, unmanned Moon
 landing scheduled in 2012.
In photos, the Chinese rover, five feet high, weighing 440
pounds, looks similar to NASA's unmanned ``Spirit'' and
``Opportunity'' Mars explorers launched in 2003, and still
operating, based on power from rechargeable lithium ion
batteries. Unlike the NASA rovers, the Chinese model will use
nuclear power to maintain a constant energy supply.
China plans to send an unmanned craft to orbit the Moon this
year, the first stage of its three-stage lunar exploration
project. The unmanned landing is scheduled for 2012, and a manned
lunar mission is scheduled for sometime after 2017. [agg]

April 2 -- ILLITERACY IS GROWING IN CHINA, DESPITE CAMPAIGNS
TO CONQUER THE PROBLEM. The number of illiterates in China grew
by more than 30 million between 2000-05, the Ministry of
Education had to report today. Although more than 9.75 million
adults learnt to read and write in those years, still, the
overall number of illiterates in the country rose to 116 million,
Gao Xuegui, director of the illiteracy eradication office of the
Ministry said. China ranks second in the world after India in
 illiteracy.
Gao said that one matter of concern, is that illiteracy is
growing, not so much in the poorer inland regions, but in the
central and eastern areas. Two-thirds of all illiterates are in
these areas, with 9.63 million alone in the relatively "well-off"
 coastal province of Shandong.
Gao emphasized that the "market economy" is actually
contributing to growing illiteracy, since the peasant population
is more and more joining huge migrant labor force all over China
to earn money, and not going to school, even when nine years of
education is compulsory, and fairly widely available. (Farmers
also have to pay fees for books, schools, etc., which many cannot
afford for their children or themselves, if they are adult
illiterates.) Also, local governments, once they consider the
problem "solved," are shutting down the programs to eradicate
illiteracy. The ministry's own budget is far too small, at only
0.07 yuan per illiterate person in China. It is calling for
 additional funds for the program.
In 2000, China had 11.3% of the world's illiterates, still
second only to India, and by 2005, China had 15.01%, which means
that many who had learned to read and write have forgotten how.
"The situation is worrying," Gao said. "Illiteracy is not only a
matter of education, but also has a great social impact." In
China, you have to be able to read and write at least 1,500
Chinese characters to be considered literate. (mmc)

                    SEATTLE OPS FOR MARCH 29

Now, because we are fair, shall we say, balanced even, we decided
after saturating the University of Washington with 140 bundles by
8 o'clock am Thursday morning, we would give poor Al Gore a
chance to redeem his reputation by hosting him and his mother
witch, I mean, the Queen, to a reception at sunny UW.
In a surprise visit, accompanied by the Queen herself, none
other than Al Gore made an appearance at the University of
Washington to receive his well-earned "Genocidalist of the Year"
award Thursday afternoon. In preparation for the event, for we
wanted no student left out, we distributed two sets of leaflets,
the first round announcing the award Gore was to receive, the
second, distributed the morning of his arrival, simply stated
that Al Gore was appearing at "the Hub" around noon. As Siri and
Fran distributed all 300 leaflets, the students were doing their
part too, making sure to inform whoever was on the phone with
them that Gore was coming soon.
As the first squad began to get set up, collating,
organizing the table, minding their own business, a couple of
cops showed up and began inquiring who was responsible for Al
Gore's "visit." Apparently, these guys were freaked out that
Gore was coming and they hadn't been notified! As soon as they
realized that Gore was coming with 'the Queen', they were on
their way. Surely the students would be on their best behavior
this afternoon, so their security wasn't needed.
Before you knew it, Gore himself, hip to hip with the Queen,
came waltzing past the table. We couldn't hold back our
excitement any longer, we unfurled the banner "Genocidalist of
the Year," eager to give Gore and the surrounding students the
 recognition he deserved.
Immediately DoBrodt, our reporter, launched into a series of
questions, "Gore how does it feel to win Genocidalist of 2007?",
"Tell us Al, just how many Africans do you think that your global
warming policies will kill?", "Wow, is it getting hot in here?",
to which Gore would tear off his coat and swing it about. "Al,
when Prince Charles said he was touched by your sentiment, where
exactly did you 'touch' him?" "Sir, Lyndon LaRouche says you are
nothing but a racist, southern cracker, what do you have to say
to this?" Gore: "I don't care, I am filthy rich!"
We then presented a graph with two exponential curves, one
representing the exponential weight gain of Gore, the other,
nearly the same curve, showing the number of Africans dying due
to Gore's policies. Upon showing Gore the graphs, Dobrodt:
"Look, I am no genius, but certainly these can't be a
coincidence." Gore: "Look, it just--it just 'fits.'"
Throughout the interview, it was the strangest thing, the
Queen would interject random commentary along the lines of owning
Gore, royalties, etc. I mean, who does she think we are?
Just as we were about to wrap up the interview, one of
Gore's evangelical 'scientists' (we call him Stephen) ripped the
bull horn's mouth piece from DoBrodt and demanded that all repent
for the C02 they've emitted, and accept Gore as their personal
savior, all in a southern accent.
The reception went on tour throughout the campus, generating
laughs, stares, open mouths, chuckles, etc. from the students and
professors. A group of high school students, visiting, asked to
interview Gore with mic., video recorder, etc., asking what it
was about the polar bears that Gore was so crazy about.
Students, all day, kept coming up to the table, "Why is every one
attacking Gore today on campus?" Most couldn't help themselves
but ask, if we are so liberal and Democrats, "what's with
trashing Gore?" "Well, it's funny you asked."
Alicia met a fellow responsible for the fusion research at
UW who had begun looking into LHL back in the 80's around the
Fusion Energy Foundation. He says he gets calls from us that
waste his time talking about Gore while he wants to know about
global warming and scientific revolutions, go figure. She
briefed him on our Kepler work and our mission to pry the
Democrats from Gore. He kept repeating that we have got to get
the Dems together, out of the ass of these environmentalists.
She breifed him further, he asked for more EIRs. He left with
the {Isotope Economy} EIR and the two latest after throwing in
 $10.
The students at UW, while open to discussing the fallicy of
Gore's latest campaign, the consequences, etc., are quite far
removed from the implications of their own actions. Not at all
emotionally attached either way, we almost miss the wild
freak-outs we get pretty much everywhere else. Perhaps, it was,
as was discussed later on, the rabid humor that cut through all
 of the freak-outs on Gore.
One of our leading polemics are signs that say "Ban the
Bulb!" with a picture of a little kid with a light bulb above his
or her head. Also, "Polar bears are people, too. Go Al and
Tipper!" Not too many people could resist the absurdity.
There was, of course, your token boomer, bike head hear,
spandex and all, when lunged at with banning the bulb, he gladly
replied that he had "already switched." It turns out he studies
African energy policy, praising these solar steam cookers to the
high heavens, and claiming it was far too expensive to string
electricity across Africa. Will pressed him on fission and
fusion, to which he became increasingly more irate, eventually
yelling at the top of his lungs, "These people want fusion!
These ones, right here, fusion!!" Why thank you sir, you
 shouldn't have.
Several conversations were had with the conservative youth
on campus who couldn't believe that LHL was going after Gore. In
fact, we generated several contacts and even sent youth visiting
from other universities with literature to pass out to their
 conservative friends. (APC)

HOUSTON TOWN HALL MEETING – REP. GREEN IS NOT SO GREEN

On Saturday Rep. Gene Green held a town hall meeting for his
constituents in South Houston, a working class town that borders
Houston. Green is a Democrat who has been in Congress since 1993
and is part of the House Democratic leadership, serving on the
Democratic Steering and Policy Committee and as At Large Whip for
Majority Whip Clyburn. His district is predominantly Hispanic
with a large working class population and a good amount of
 industry.
There were 15-20 constituents there, including Mike Maddi,
who is a Democratic precinct chairman in the district. Green gave
a 15 minute report on what’s been going on in Congress, including
the Supplemental bill that includes the setting of a withdrawal
date for U.S. troops in Iraq. Then he opened up for questions.
There were a couple of questions from right-wing,
pro-military types attacking a withdrawal date and a few
questions from constituents who had problems dealing with the
federal bureaucracy. Near the end of the meeting, Green called on
 Mike.
Mike started off by noting the continued shutdown of
industry and that now the subprime mortgages are shaking the
financial system. Identifying himself as a LaRouche Democrat,
Mike told Green and the audience that LaRouche had demanded two
years ago that the Congress act to retool shut-down auto plants
to produce high-speed rail and other infrastructure systems, but
that no action was taken. At this point, Green cut in, hoping to
limit the question and move on. He admitted that subprime
mortgages are a problem and are unregulated, but claimed that
this would mainly affect “high-flying Wall Street investors,”
although it might impact average citizens too. Then he prepared
to move on to another questioner.
Mike demanded 30 more seconds to make his full point and
Green reluctantly agreed. Mike then denounced Al Gore’s global
warming, saying that there is no firm scientific evidence behind
this. If Al Gore were serious about saving the environment, he
would be supporting LaRouche’s call for retooling auto and
 developing new technologies.
Again Green cut Mike off and made a somewhat surprising
statement, given his position in the House Democrats’ leadership.
He said, “There’s a lot of hype about global warming.” He then
proceeded to talk about how this district is very involved in
manufacturing, with many small machine shops and the oil
refineries and petrochemical plants in the Houston Ship Channel,
which are in the district. He seemed to imply that he was not
gung ho about “carbon emission” caps and other Gorey insanities,
without stating that. He also spoke about how he always votes
 against free trade agreements.
Green will be having two or three more town meetings in the
district this week. You can be sure that the LYM will be there to
further educate him and to do the necessary work of stiffening
 his spine. [MTM]

                      UTAH OPS FOR MARCH 29

The Utah LaRouche Movement had its first meeting of the year on
Thursday night at the Riverton Library. It ended up being a very
successful meeting with John Hoefle first calling in and
presenting a narrative of the last 30-40s years of decline in the
U.S. economy with an emphasis in looking for the paradoxes in the
so-called health of the economy. After his hour-long
presentation, he took several questions and we finally had to say
goodbye to move into the next topic, which continued on the Gore
Hoax, which he'd mentioned as yet another swindle by the
financial system through the creation of a new market in trading
carbon credits, which assumes that each person now has the right
 to pollute.
Chris introduced the topic with the broad implications of
eroding the nation-state sovereignty and the connections between
this and eugenics and early 1920s fascism and then we concluded
with a showing of some of the best pieces of the film {The Great
Global Warming Swindle} which kept the audience captivated and we
finally had to leave quickly as the library was closing.
We had 15 people in attendance, with a couple of new or
unfamiliar faces and some great discussion afterwards such as
from Stan's daughter who was provoked by our push for nuclear
power as a major solution to the economic and energy crisis.[CSN]

LA OPS REPORT TOWN HALL MEETING

Kepler and the Fraud of Global Warming

On Saturday morning, March thirty-first, at the Wilshire Plaza
Hotel, adjacent to the downtown of Los Angeles, some fifty-seven
contacts, of all ages, and sixty members participated in the LPAC
sponsored town hall meeting to sink the fraud of democratic
hoaxer, Al Gore, and clear the way for the new Democratic Party
 leadership.
Mr. LaRouche opened the meeting with an address that painted
the historical context of the current political and economic
crisis; then, he clarified which changes of policy must be made,
if the crisis is to be remedied. LaRouche emphasized that those
who wish to move society need to focus on the maturing young
adults between the ages of eighteen to thirty-five (for the
speech itself, see the briefing for 4-01-07). Harley Schlanger
reiterated the point and graciously introduced the panel of
 LaRouche Youth Movement members.
The panel of presenters consisted of Ian Overton, Nick
Walsh, Aaron Halevy, Brent Bedford and Shawna Rodarte. For all,
but one, this was the first public event at which the audience
was not just young adults, but tweeners and boomers, also. In the
case of two of the panelists, this panel was their first.
Ian opened the discussion by taking the argument of Al Gore
and the IPCC off of the movie screen and under the microscope.
Nick unearthed the roots of the environmentalist movement: the
cult of Dionysus, eugenics, financers and Nazism. He made it
plain that the Gore hoax equals a racially determined genocide,
especially of third world nations. Brent continued in a similar
vein and further investigated the question as to what makes
society susceptible to scientific fraud. This brought the
discussion to Claudius Ptolemy and the importance of Johannes
Kepler's definitive invalidation of the Ptolmaic system. Aaron
then bit into the nitty-gritty of some aspects of the various
opinions about celestial mechanics. Bringing the audience into
the mind of Kepler, Shawna used a portion of Plato's Phaedo to
elucidate Keplers scientific method, that is, a hunt for the best
reason as to why the universe is as it is, rather than finding
the most accurate mechanical description of the universe and
calling that a cause for its being.
Shawna, then made the point that once Kepler found the
reason, he then looked to conduct a physical experiment; one,
which Albert Einstein thoroughly enjoyed. The panel closed with a
brief contrast between Gore's view of humanity and that of
 Kepler.
A few phone team contacts commented that they were surprised
to see faces on the panel that they did not recognize, that they
were very happy to see a new group of youth who were developing
these ideas. One dedicated supporter, who comes to all our
events, said, This is the best town meeting that you have had
 yet. Tauren Jones (Youth Organizer)

EUROPEAN OPERATIONS BULLETIN April 2, 2007
   **********************************************************

               - MILAN WEEKEND OPERATIONS REPORT -
 	03.30-04.01.07
On Friday, March 30, we deployed at the political science
faculty of the Statale University in Milan. We didn't have a
permit for going inside, so we had flying squads combined with a
 booktable just at the entrance.
We translated the sign "What do Prince Charles and African
genocide have in common? Al Gore gets turned on by both!" This
caused a stir. We saw a lot of people shaking their heads in
disagreement. A lot of students didn't dare come to the booktable
directly, because they mistook us for the "Lotta Communista,"
(Communist Struggle) that is always leafletting at the entrance.
One of the youth contacts we made later told us that the LC
organizes around an imminent third world war that would make a
 communist revolution possible.
The flying squads caught people in a more relaxed condition,
as they were sitting down with their friends. The hysteria around
exams was difficult to break through, but, in general, people
were shocked to find out that Al Gore was a bad guy. We made a
page of contacts at the booktable, plus a handful inside the main
courtyard. A couple of these contacts came to the Sunday
 mini-cadre school at the office.
We came back to make calls, which generated some contact
meetings for later that night and the next day. Later, at a bar,
which was run by a contact we met in 2003 (when the LYM was last
here), we ran into some international Erasmus students, a couple
of whom we organized to become contacts and take material. The
two contacts that showed up participated in a lively discussion
on how to change something within the system versus joining
full-time. It became clear that no compromise is possible, and
some healthy tension was created despite the bar atmosphere. We
left the manager with a hundred pamphlets to distribute; it's a
 student area.
On Saturday, we met up with an architecture student, who had
been to a meeting with Helga in Milan in 2003. He was very
interested and provoked by the idea of him starting up a LaRouche
Youth Movement in Italy. He had a lot of questions on the
viability on LaRouche's ideas and his influence in the United
States. He was happy to keep in touch, and may come to Germany
 soon.
Saturday afternoon we distributed for a couple of hours on
the fashion mile between San Babila and the Duomo, singing our
Italian canons, while two distributed. The singing attracted much
attention -- especially the "Battle Cry of Freedom" and "Oh,
Freedom." One man approached us and listened for quite some time,
turning out to be very intrigued by our lead article on Gore and
left 5 euros and his details. A number of men seemed to be
waiting for their wives to finish buying that spring dress and so
took the time to listen to our small chorus. Many discussions
were had with strollers by our distributing organizers.
Domenica dell'Idee: Our relatively short organizing time and
phone work brought in 7 new youth contacts, three of whom stayed
the whole day. However all were identified in discussions
afterwards to be candidates for joining the youth work in Berlin,
even if a limited number appear to be able to come to the cadre
 school in April.
Liliana opened up the meeting, describing our youth
deployment in the U.S., comparing the new politics as
demonstrated by the November Congressional elections to our blast
in Rome as the only viable political activity, in view of the
complete redundancy of the existing political buffet in Italy.
This was our queue: We sang the Italian canons to the delight of
all present. Andrew next developed the historical and
philosophical context of Gore's sudden intrusion into the already
very intense turmoil within the Democratic Party in the U.S. He
posed the Nazi roots of stopping development in the Third World
(or, quarto mondo, as he put it) in contrast to Lyn's economics,
objectively a touchy issue. But Andrew maintained a playfulness
despite the weight of the issue, that provoked a lot of questions
on Lyn's method. Before the lunch break we showed Lyn's answer to
the young boys from Ascoli Piceno from the Nov. 16 webcast, in
which he lays out the conceptual basis for an Italian LaRouche
Youth Movement. Hot debate ensued, which in fact could only be
interrupted successfully with our singing, so we could move on to
 the presentation on Kepler.
Sergej and Portia walked people through the divisions of the
circle and their corresponding harmonic musical intervals, some
of which are more harmonic than others. This led us into the
Lydian interval, showing how the square-root of 2 comes up
geometrically in the 3rd degree of knowability. We used the first
phrase of the {Ave Verum Corpus} as a demonstration. The
animating creativity website was a necessary tool: Book 3 on
constructing Kepler's scale and the harmonic divisions, as well
as the construction of the pentagon from the Knowability section
in Book I. One contact was initially freaked out when we were
dividing the circle and asked what it had to do with politics. He
accused us of trying to use science to manipulate people like
Scientology. Another contact though, calmed him down, urging us
to continue with the presentation. The latter was very intrigued,
saying we were challenging the limits of his geometry skills. We
finished off by singing the entire {Ave Verum}. Another hot
debate ensued, which was only interrupted by Quincy, whom we had
on the phone from L.A., speaking about the situation within the
California Democratic Party, illustrating the current political
and historical context of the Rohatyn vs. LaRouche struggle
within the party. This impressed the contacts a lot, seeing how
much influence LaRouche had in the Democratic Party.
The initially freaked-out contact ended up discussing with
us until late in the night along with another long-term contact,
showing that there is real potential to initiate a Youth Movement
in Italy. [Sergej, Portia, Pia, Daniel]

 OPERATION HAMBURG

There were 8 youth from Berlin in Hamburg. The task was:
 preventing school pupils from brainwashing.
Our Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel is pushing the Al
Whore movie "An Inconvenient Truth" in Germany. His idea is that
every pupil has to watch this movie.
Our "GloWaS" taskforce found out that they began with this
mass brainwashing in Hamburg, under the auspices of Hamburg Mayor
Ole von Beust. He organized free showings for all pupils in the
cinema financed by the ship-owning company Rickmers. I think all
of you saw the leaflet from Helga in the last EIR where she
appealed for a boycott of these operations, because it is
organized mass brainwashing of thousands of young people.
Our squad were send to Hamburg more or less in the last
minute to counterorganize this operation. We arrived at the end
of the showing and started directly organizing the pupils. It was
horrible -- a lot of youth and teachers were deeply moved because
of this movie and it was hard to attack this CO2 hoax. Most of
them were really hysterical and didn't want to listen to us. A
few were interested and said that this movie is too statistical,
they were happy to hear about the movie from Channel 4 and said
that they wanted to watch this; some said that they had already
watched this. All in all this first intervention was not the
best, and we decided that, for the next showings, we have to be
in front of the movie theater before these horror shows start.
The rest of the day we were doing intersection and
organizing out of hand, because we didn´t have a permit to
organize with booktables -- and the police are not happy without
the permits. Actually, it is terrible to see Hamburg under the
"Joch" of Ole von Freud -- sorry, Beust.
On the next day, which was the last showing before the
Easter holidays, we arrived early enough at the cinemas to talk
with the pupils and teachers to prevent them from being
brainwashed. Our counterorganizing before they saw the movie was
easier, because the pupils were standing around in big groups and
you could talk to them very fast and effectively that this film
is brainwashing and pure propaganda. A few teachers freaked out
about that and said that ignoring global warming would be the
same case as the Germans after 1945 when everybody was saying
that they didn't know about the concentration camps. Some of
these 68er teachers have really a big hole in their head (instead
of a brain). They said things like: what about the ozone hole,
and the pile of rubbish, man is not good, I am a biology teacher
and I know that... We just said that they have to go to back to
the university, and this time without smoking pot.
In these two days we got out about 5,000 leaflets and a lot
of other literature, like our new pamphlet about the
Heuschrecken. Since they {had} to go to watch this movie (even
the teachers), the good part is, that we were there to prevent
these poor fellows from being brainwashed, but, unfortunately,
 this will go on.
We didn't get a lot of feedback until now, but I think that
a lot of teachers and pupils will think about it after the
holidays, and until then we (hopefully) have a bigger debate in
Germany about this GW hoax. [MSK]
